2. **Considerations when Placing an Order**
*Fresh flowers will undergo the drying process, which may result in changes in colour and texture.
*Some flowers may develop transparent spots (bruises) when preserved with resin, which is normal.
* While we strive for perfection, minor defects are possible in handmade products.
*Last-minute changes to the bouquet layout are at the discretion of the artist.
*Resin may develop a slight amber tone over time, however, we use UV-resistant materials to minimize this effect.

****Any resin aging will not take any meaningful part away from your bouquet! They're your flowers and they’re going to be beautiful, but the piece *will* age and gain a vintage look. But in the end, they are your flowers and they’ll be with you year after year, anniversary after anniversary!****

3. **Scientific Process and Risks**
Bouquet preservation is a scientific process that involves inherent risks. While every effort is made to prevent mistakes and ensure the highest quality outcome, occasional errors or unexpected issues may arise due to factors such as temperature, humidity, or other environmental conditions beyond our control. K&M Customized Creations shall not be held liable for any such occurrences that may affect the final result.

BY PAYING THE DEPOSIT YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS

                                  **DISCLAIMER**               **IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

  • All of our products are made to order with great care and attention to detail. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our work, slight imperfections and micro-bubbles may occur.
  • IMPORTANT:  Please note that we offer specially tested pens for purchase to ensure optimal results when writing on the boards. These pens have been selected to prevent smudging and ink bleeding during the resin application process.
  • Please note that flower colouring may vary during the drying process, as it is influenced by the natural characteristics of each bloom.
  • The unsaturated bonds in resin materials are prone to reacting with oxygen in the air, leading to the formation of oxides that can cause the surface to gradually yellow over time. This natural aging process may be accelerated by environmental factors such as oxygen exposure, humidity, and heat. To help minimize this effect, we use a high-end UV-resistant epoxy in combination with a UV stabilizer, providing enhanced protection and long-lasting clarity.
  • To help maintain the integrity of your resin piece, keep it unboxed in a well-ventilated area and store it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, (e.g., heating vents, fireplaces, or hot cars).  Exposure to heat may cause discolouration and/or warping of the resin.
  • Any resin aging will not take any meaningful part away from your bouquet! They are your flowers and they are going to be beautiful, but the piece *will* age and gain a vintage look. But in the end, they are your flowers and they’ll be with you year after year, anniversary after anniversary!
  • We are not responsible for the condition of florals upon arrival at our studio.
  • Once completed floral preservation resin pieces leave our studio, K&M Customized Creations is no longer responsible for their condition or care, as their upkeep becomes the sole responsibility of the client.
  • Due to the highly personalized nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not offer discounts (unless specified), refunds, discounts, exchanges, or cancellations.
  • The entire preservation process can take up to 26+ weeks, depending on our order volume and the complexity of your order.

Best Practices

 BEST PRACTICES -

THE FRESHEST BLOOMS ARE THE BEST

Here's a summary of the key points - (PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY).

1. **Fresh Blooms** The fresher the flowers, the better the preservation results. Keep the bouquet cool and hydrated in water, and deliver it to us as soon as possible after the wedding or special occasion, ideally the next day. Friends or family members can also deliver, ship, or courier the bouquet if you're unavailable.

2. **Condition of Flowers** Frozen, wilted, bruised, discolored, or crushed petals cannot be preserved, so it's essential to ensure the flowers are in excellent condition before preservation.

3. **Drying Process** Once received, the best blooms and greens are carefully dried individually for approximately 4+ weeks. Certain colours may change during the drying and resin process, such as red, pink, and purple colors darkening, and white flowers tending to yellow or become cream-colored.

4. **Resin Pouring** After the drying process, FOOD SAFE and UV resin is poured over the delicate floral ingredients in multiple fine layers over several days/weeks. Each layer must set before the next layer is poured. The resin is typically poured to a maximum depth of approximately 2-3 inches, including the final dome/flood coat.

5. **Drying and Curing** After pouring, the resin dries for at least 7 days to ensure it is completely hardened and cured. It is then sanded, polished, flood-coated if applicable, and photographed. The entire preservation process can take up to 26+ weeks, depending on our order volume and the complexity of your order.

6. **Important Notes** While we take utmost care in creating your preservation, handmade resin art using fragile botanical ingredients may result in small bubbles, imperfections, and transparent spots.

Our Process

Flower Preservation  - Understanding the Process

It's crucial to understand the preservation process thoroughly to ensure the best outcome for your cherished blooms. Below is an overview of our preservation process:

1. **Initial Consultation** We begin with a detailed discussion to understand your preferences, expectations, and the specific flowers you wish to preserve. This allows us to tailor our preservation techniques to suit your needs.

2. **Preparation** Upon receiving your flowers, we carefully inspect each bloom to assess its condition and determine the best preservation method. Any necessary trimming or conditioning of the flowers is done at this stage to ensure optimal results.

3. **Preservation Method** We employ various preservation methods depending on the type of flowers and your preferences. These methods may include air drying, silica gel drying, or pressing. Each method is chosen to maintain the natural beauty and colour of your flowers while ensuring long-lasting preservation.  This drying process takes approximately 4 weeks.

4. **Customization** If desired, we can incorporate additional elements such as photos, mementos, or keepsakes into the preservation process. This adds a personalized touch to your preserved flowers and enhances their sentimental value.

5. **Curing and Finishing** After the preservation process is complete,  they are carefully arranged in the mold in preparation for the multiple resin pours and the final flood/dome coats.

6. **Final Presentation** Your preserved flowers are presented to you in a beautiful display as resin encapsulation.  We take pride in delivering a finished product that exceeds your expectations and honours the beauty of your cherished blooms.

7. **Care Instructions** We provide you with detailed care instructions to help you maintain the beauty and integrity of your preserved flowers for years to come. Proper care ensures that your floral keepsakes remain a cherished memento of your special moments.

The entire preservation process can take up to 26+ weeks, depending on our order volume and the complexity of your order.

Understanding the preservation process is crucial to ensuring the best possible outcome for your preserved flowers. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to guide you through the process and create a meaningful keepsake that captures the essence of your special memories.
